Stephanie Andrews

Proprietor, The Heart Full Hive

Stephanie Andrews, who has learned the vital art of authentic living, has created a space that makes her happy. She has filled it with things she loves and opened the doors to us, her community. Done with making lemonade out of lemons, Stephanie decided to trust in herself to build a life that would serve her and her community best, by following her heart and her passions. Her awareness of the essential need for kind exchanges, creative expression and respect for our ecosystem lead her to create the HeArtfull Hive Garden & Gallery.

Located at the edge of the world, in Shelter Cove Ca., her inclusive space nurtures pollinators, local community and herself. Her open-sky garden space, which can seat up to 15 people comfortably, is vibrant with pollinator favorites, potted plants, herbs and garden art. With a private entrance and secluded from the wind, It is perfect for blessing ways, luncheons and other private affairs.

Stephanie’s intention to create a unique, heart to heart, consumer experience while supporting local artisans and healers makes her feel like a full circle matchmaker, bringing together the art and craft, made lovingly, with the appreciative buyer who is uplifted in the peaceful space that is the HeArtfull Hive.

The gallery that feels like a bohemian living room with multicultural art, antique & imported furniture and fresh flowers has accoutrement and space for wholistic, spiritual healing as well as live events. It carries, what Stephanie refers to as, the Southern Humboldt vibe, where one can slow down, relax and enjoy the eco friendly, heart conscious, back to landers tone, while admiring inspired works of art.

There is something for everyone. Locally grown, fresh cut flowers. Vintage rugs. Handcrafted, one of a kind, home decor. Gorgeous jewelry. Musical instruments. New and second-hand natural-fiber clothing. Handmade goods for romance, wellness, beauty and self care. Healthy snacks and thirst quenching beverages. These are just some of the items that fill this inviting space.

Spiritually eclectic, Stephanie is pleased to hold space for many wholistic modalities of wellness. She teaches Kundalin yoga and meditation, herself, and is host to chakra healing, sound journey healing, flower essence shamanic healing, herbal workshops, mother/daughter circles, and more. Other events include, but are not limited to, live music, topic-specific Tea & Tarot Tuesdays, poetry readings, local history night, puppet shows, travel photographer talk-stories and a fire circus.

Not just, an extraordinary gift shop. To locals, the HeArtful Hive is a lovely place to gather safely, to teach and learn, heal and be healed, and to celebrate in gratitude. For travelers, the HeArtful Hive is a place to relax, get a snack and experience sweet intentioned kindness. To Stephanie, who’s boys are grown, the HeArtful Hive is her baby. Nurturing Mama that she is, she tends to her little hive with her feng shui and other healing modalities, thankful that it has helped her to believe in herself and her sense of higher purpose. By stepping into her courage she has created her dream life, right there on the lost coast, 10 minutes from her home, giving her plenty of quality time to spend with her devoted husband and closest friends. I see Stephanie as queen of her HeArtful Hive, ripe with possibility, holding space for artisans and healers to co-create the sweet golden energy that is so vital to our world, today. Conversations with her are always a treat.
